This past Wednesday, January 30th 2019, Needham Public Schools were scheduled for an early release day. While most kids in town surely made plans to hang out with friends or relax on the couch, our U12 Needham Strikers had other plans. When the bell rang at 11:30AM the girls piled into a three car caravan led by their coaches Deana Moreschi, Katie Chiappinelli and Barb St. John and after making a quick stop for pizza of course, headed straight into Boston to help donate and pack boxes of food to support the Greater Boston Food Bank!

The girls worked hard for over 2 hours, donating 7 different bags of miscellaneous items and packing 288 boxes of food! In total, the girls work as a team, helped to supply enough food to feed a family of 4 for an Entire Year!! This group of girls showed first hand exactly what being a team is all about!

All of us at Needham Soccer Club would like to send a big Thank You, to ALL of these amazing ladies for representing the club and being such great role models for us and the entire community to follow!! Well done ladies, we could not be more proud!!
