Registration for Fall 2019 TOPSoccer is currently OPEN!

What is TOPSoccer?

The Outreach Program for Soccer is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. The goal is to enable the thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family.

TOPSoccer & NSC

Since 2015, NSC is proud to be able to offer this program to Needham athletes from 1st grade and up, making soccer truly accessible to all Needham children. The program has grown each season and continues to be a fantastic experience for players and volunteers alike. Participants are paired with local buddies who are eligible to receive community service hours for their time if they wish.

Fall 2019 Program

Weekly clinic format open to boys and girls aged 7-14. Each player is paired with at least one volunteer ‘buddy’ for the season.

Dates: Sundays

Location: Defazio Park Turf Field*

Times: 4pm – 5pm

9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/20

Fees: $25 per player, includes Needham Soccer shirt

*Field locations and dates subject to change pending NSC field permits from Park & Rec (around September 1st)

In order to participate in TOPSoccer, players must register online via the link below. Our TOPSoccer Committee may be in touch prior to the program start to discuss your child and any specific needs or anything else that can help provide a great experience for your child.

Volunteers

Needham Soccer Club programs rely on great volunteers for all of our programs. The success of the program lies with the Buddies, who are students in grades 8-12 who demonstrate a real love of helping others and also enjoy the sport of soccer.

If you would like to volunteer for this rewarding program, you must register online. Volunteers of all ages grade 8 and above are welcome to apply. You must be able to commit to the majority of sessions and attend program orientation.

Please note volunteer opportunities with our TOPSoccer program can be very popular. For that reason we are only able to take a certain number of volunteers each season based on our athlete registration numbers. You will be contacted to confirm your involvement for the upcoming season, and with details of required training for this program.

Buddies may be eligible to receive Community Service credit for this. Be sure to bring the appropriate forms to the last TOPSoccer session of the season to be signed.
