Needham Thunder – 12th Grade Boys Champions

Congratulations to the Boys BU19 Needham Thunder that completed an undefeated BAYS season and went on to win a State Championship at MTOC. After defeating teams representing Central Mass, South Coast and Nashoba Valley the boys faced off with Franklin who was also at MTOC representing BAYS as the wild card. In dramatic fashion after a 2-2 tie in regulation. Needham defeated Franklin in PK with 2 PK saves from Landon Brownridge to move them forward to the finals against Charlton. A 2-1 Final win with goals from Sr. Ryan McGrady and the final winning goal from Sr Matt Brayer with 10 minutes remaining secured them a State Championship. They also were awarded the MYSA sportsmanship award.

Needham Vipers – 7th/8th Grade Girls Champions

Note to be outdone by the boys, our 7th/8th Grade girls also lifted the trophy after a fantastic weekend (and season). The Vipers edged past Duxbury 1-0 in the semi final, before an emphatic 7-0 victory in the final Vs Norton.
