Needham Strikers, 7th/8th Grade and 3 members of the NHS girls soccer team volunteered at Greater Boston Food Bank in Boston, on the early release day 2/29/2020, to pack food for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program. This is a federal program designed to help low income seniors access healthy food provided by the USDA. They packed 8 pallets, 288 boxes, which is 7,680 meals. These boxes will be shipped to 34 Food Bank partners in Eastern MA.
