We are delighted to announce, this March we will have an opportunity for anyone aged 12 and above* qualify as a paid referee for our in house NSCCL program.
The NSC Champions League (NSCCL) is played in-town only on Needham fields, with weekly games taking place throughout the Spring and Fall seasons on Saturdays and Sundays across 2 age groups – 3rd/4th Grade and 5th/6th Grade, separate boys and girls divisions in each.
Refereeing in the NSCCL program is a great way to gain experience as a ref, enjoy the game from another perspective and of course make some money!
Once qualified and registered, refs can request and be assigned weekly games (or multiple games) for which they are paid on a per game basis. Payments are made at the end of the season.
To be eligible to referee in our NSCCL program, new referees should attend ONE of our introductory courses on the dates listed below. Existing referees must attend the refresher course.
No prior registration is required to take the course, but refs will need to provide a regularly checked email address and will be required to complete a short online registration prior to the start of the season.
NOTE: NSCCL Certification allows refereeing ONLY in NSCCL games here in Needham.
Courses are held annually, pre-Spring only, no course for the Fall will be available.
