We are pleased to announce, our next round of NSCCL Referee courses will take place this March. Courses are open to anyone that will be aged 12 and above on June 30 2020, to qualify as a paid referee for our in house NSCCL program.
The NSC Champions League (NSCCL) is played in-town only on Needham fields, with weekly games taking place throughout the Spring and Fall seasons on Saturdays and Sundays across 2 age groups – 3rd/4th Grade and 5th/6th Grade, separate boys and girls divisions in each.
Refereeing in the NSCCL program is a great way to gain experience as a ref, enjoy the game from another perspective and of course make some money! New/younger refs will typical start out refereeing 3rd/4th grade 7v7 to learn the role, before getting opportunities to move up to 5th/6th grade 9v9 games as they get older and more experience. Many of our refs use this as a stepping stone to getting their state qualification to ref BAYS travel games and beyond!
As a NSCCL Referee, you will receive the course education, ref uniform from the club and pay for each game you referee (paid at the end of each NSCCL Season). In return the club requests you referee a minimal of 5 games per NSCCL Season (including NSCCL Tournament and Jamboree games).
To be eligible to referee in our NSCCL program, new referees should attend ONE of our introductory courses on the dates listed below. Existing referees must attend the refresher course.
Referees are required to have access to an email address and being proactive/responsive in requesting games/checking for their weekly assignments.
