The Needham Soccer Club, Inc. is pleased to announce a new program for first and second graders (U7 & U8 soccer age) to play soccer in Needham called the Needham Soccer Club Junior Academy.
The Junior Academy (NSCJA) is aimed at 1st and 2nd grade players, and is very much focused on introducing and developing the key fundamental components of soccer. The program will be both fun and developmental for the players involved and will serve to ensure their enthusiasm grows along with their soccer ability.
The goals for the children are simple:
- Have Fun
- Learn Soccer Skills
- Team Building
Needham Soccer Club is dedicated to enhancing player and coach development and will have professional trainers work with coaches and players throughout the season.
Coaching
- Coaches are volunteer parents of the players who participate
- We encourage all parents to help coach, regardless of prior soccer experience
- Each team generally has two coaches, with one serving as the lead coach
